Today Karen and I went to the shops and sure enough after being stuck behind someone for more than 5Min's because they couldn't get out of a parking spot - it was very odd to watch this lady trying to get out of this parking spot as she turned the wheel the opposite way to where she wanted to go - hmm but that's another story!
The next minute we are going down another aisle where there were a few cars trying to park etc and we watched as the person behind us pulled into a car spot that someone else on the other side was actually waiting for. Well little did we know that this would start WW3. There was beeping, flashing lights and then the guy in the car that had been waiting for the spot got out and started grabbing the younger guys shirt etc. Lots of yelling from the older guy who by this time was practically lifting up the younger guy and then headbutted him! To my surprise the younger guy didn't lift a finger. Finally a security guy from the shopping centre came down and tried to break it up. The older guy drives away and we heard the younger one say he was going to go and get the guy charged with assault.
Now Karen and I talked about this and I know I would probably be annoyed if I was waiting for a spot and someone came in the opposite direction and just zoomed in and took it, so fair enough. But to get out of the car and start pretty much assaulting someone because of it, now that is just beyond what I would say is normal behaviour. The car park does have 1000's of other car spaces, so a little comment out the window and the other guy who might have innocently not known this guy was waiting for the spot (there was a car between them that was trying to reverse park into a spot) might have actually moved his car.
I guess it is just another reminder that physical contact will never solve a problem.
Tomorrow is Australia Day and has more significance now as we are off to Max's 1st birthday party tomorrow at lunch time. I can't believe that it is a year since he was born! Wow time has gone so quickly and ours boys are growing up so fast. I bet that little spunky monkey Max will have that huge grin from ear to ear - he is sooo cute!
Thanks all for now!
